Nostalgia and warmth in Te Anau

Woke up in the charming Music Room, reminiscing about the lessons I had here decades ago. Kym and the staff.

The breakfast was good but lacked variety over my stay, making me wish for a different dish to try each morning.

Came here for 1 night with my aunt, had a great stay. The restaurant here was nice for dinner, I both ordered quality dishes. Also, location was marvellous, at a medium distance from Rosco's Milford Kayaks.

The staff were knowledgeable and excellent.

Charming lodge, charming hosts, with details like a complimentary library bar and a good breakfast experience in the chapel room, easy to meet other guests and discuss plans for local adventures like exploring the luminous glowworm caves nearby.

We found everything perfect, recommend it to anyone. The breakfast with freshly cooked options to choose from was delicious and scrumptious. Location: the hotel was really close to beautiful place for a breakfast.

The location was awesome in the comfortable area. Distance to the airport was just 20 km.

Quirky train carriage stay.

The Lodge boasts unique rooms each with a bit of history, ideal for travelers curious about their surroundings. The hotel is well-maintained with fine views and spacious common areas.

Rooms feel on the smaller side and have minimal space around the bed, which might be a squeeze for some. The pillows are soft, nearly flat, which isn't for everyone, although I still enjoyed my stay despite that.

The staff were friendly, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent. I loved sharing a breakfast table with other travelers and having a chat. Staying in the Music Room brought back nostalgia, as I had learned music there in the 1960s.

Te Anau Lodge beautifully blends historical charm with modern comforts. The elegant woodwork and fine stained glass create a warm atmosphere, while spacious common areas and easy access throughout the lodge were good.

I had an lovely stay with such charming features like the cozy library room filled with treats and the gorgeous garden views from my room. It’s a gem, but it got a little noisy sometimes.
